Nicholas Caine Rausch

Nick has been playing the guitar for over 17 years and teaching since 2003.
He has studied guitar at the University of Southern Maine and holds a Bachelors degree in Music Performance with a concentration in Jazz Studies, having graduated Magna Cum Laude.

He has had the pleasure of studying classical guitar under the direction of Keith Crook as well as jazz guitar under Gary Wittner.

Nick has also completed intensive guitar repair training with luthier Ivon Schmukler of the Leeds Guitar Building School.  He enjoys sharing his knowledge of this subject with his students, and takes pride in having guided many of his students from complete beginner status to accomplished players.

Along with being a member of MTNA  (Music Teachers National Association), Nicholas is also an active member of numerous honor societies.

Nick teaches and performs primarily in the Portland Maine area.

Before travelling abroad, he has most recently taught and performed around the midcoast area, as well as in Portland where he now resides.
